ATTENTION OF THE PRESIDENCY: ESTABLISHMENT OF COLLEGE OF AGRICULTURE AT OGBADU ANALO WARD, IBAJI L.G.A, KOGI STATE: OPEN LETTER TO PRESIDENT MOHAMMADU BUHARI

By Chief Anthony Ayegba,
Sir,

I write to appreciate your policies, programmes and efforts, designed to make agricuture a priority in your developmental programmes, and desire to make food sufficiency possible; including the establishment of colleges and universties of agriculture, where our citizens will be taught and trained, in order for them to be effective contributors and participants in your efforts to achieve food sufficency for all Nigerians, including my state, Kogi.

May I also in addition, request that you authorize the establishment of a college of Agriculture at Ogbadu Analo Ward, in Ibaji L.G.A of Kogi State, to enhance the development of that area, that specializes in the production of different types of cash and food crops in large quantities. It will also help the youths of that area to develop interest in education, and also benefit from the competencies, knowledge, skills, which their exposure to educational processes and programmes provides, instead of resorting to illegal activities.

Ibaji local government area (L.G.A) produces cash and food crops like palm oil, rice .corn, yams ,cassava, fishes, and other agricultural products in abundance, hence the need for the college of agriculture.

I am sure my community, Ogbadu Analo Ward in Ibaji L.G.A, will be more grateful to you sir, if you add this College of Education to the six new ones, you have already given approval for their take off in October, 2020.

Thanking you in advance, because I know you have the heart to give this request the urgent attention it deserves.

Chief Ayegba is the Onu-Igala of Egbe-Idimu, Alimosho LGA of Lagos State.
