Covid19: CAN chairman tests positive

A member of Adamawa state Covid-19 containment Committee, Bishop Dami Manza has tested positive to the virus.

Bishop Manza is the Catholic Arch Bishop of Yola Diaoses and Adamawa state Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN).
NCDC in a press release today 23rd August 2020, confirmed the results, announced that the Bishop has decided to go into total isolation.
In his personal Twitter handle, Bishop Dami Manza while noting that testing positive for the virus was not a death sentence, urged people to pray for him and all who tested positive.
He urged the general public to take preventive protocols seriously in order to help stop the spread of the pandemic.

He said in compliance with COVID-19 protocols, he went into self-isolation and have already started treatment.
Adamawa state now has a recorded 206 confirmed cases of the virus with 32 active cases undergoing treatment. 159 of the cases have been discharged while 15 died of the complications relates to the virus.
