LEA scribe asks Kwali parents to guide children on COVID-19 regulations

The Secretary Local Education Authority (LEA) for Kwali Area Council, Mr. Peter Philip has called on the parents to guide children on COVID-19 safety protocols.

He lauded the efforts of the Chairman of the Council, Hon. Danladi Chiya for the huge investment made to improve the standard of basic education in the area.

Philip disclosed this during a chat with journalists on the measures taken by the council to enhance teaching and learning across primary schools in Kwali and environs.

He tasked the staff of the Local Authority to redouble their commitment at all times with a view to reciprocating the gesture of government on regular payment of salaries and other entitlements.

The Kwali LEA scribe stated that his leadership would be given priority attention to training and re-training of teachers to make them efficient in the area of performing their primary assignment.

The education Secretary tasked parents in Kwali and environs to be guiding their wards on Covid-19 protocols noting that advocacy is going on to motivate parents and guardians to enroll their children in schools.
