As family, friends and associates in Nigeria and the world over, celebrate the 49th birthday of the Distinguished Senator Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, his Senior Special Assistant on Media, Amb Adichie Izuchukwu has called for prayers for the Senator representing Anambra South in the ninth Senate, who is equally the national leader of the Young Progressive Party (YPP).

He urged the good people of Anambra South, ndi-Anambra, ndi-Igbo and Nigerians in general to keep supporting the Prince of the Senate and his bigger visions for a better society.

While speaking to newsmen on Wednesday in Nnewi, Amb Adichie, maintained that the Distinguished Senator who was born into a modest family of late Mr and Mrs Alphonsus Ubah of Umuanuka, Otolo-Nnewi on the 3rd day of September, 1971, is a husband, a father, politician and a detribalized pan-Nigerian who has fast translated into an institution. He reaffirmed the founder of Afaigboefuna movement as a man of a humble beginning, amiable, likeable and good-natured personality, who is married to Mrs. Uchenna Ubah and the marriage is blessed with five children.

According to Adichie, “Senator Ubah is committed to creating a sustainable environment in which our people, especially our children can have access to information technology, quality education and health services, and the elderly can feel safer after retirement; have access to quality health care and our citizens can amicably live, prosper and create the preferred agricultural and food security that everyone desires.

‘’ Again, Ikemba Igbo along his lines of selfless service to the Igbo nation have conceived and birthed some grassroots political initiatives; “Afa Igboefuna Grassroot Movement, Ifeanyi Ubah Solidarity Movement and Active Voter’s Solidarity’’ to solve those most pressing issues which more often than not, place Ndi Igbo in a political quagmire within the Nigerian political context and notwithstanding the resounding success of these structures, he has remained deeply committed towards actualizing his bigger vision for Ndi Igbo and better society.

He further stated that Ubah who was on 24th February, 2019 declared winner of the Anambra South Senatorial election under the platform of the Young Progressives Party (YPP), in a fiercely contested election, was on March 4th, 2019, given his Certificate of Return alongside other elected Senators by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and was formally inaugurated into the 9th Senate on Tuesday, June 11th, 2019, has since then, been busy in the red chamber as he was christened “Prince of the Senate” by the President of the Senate, on account of his commitment, sense of duty and patriotism. In his words, “Ubah has been an active, vocal and audacious member of the 9th Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. He has, within a short time of the 9th Senate, initiated bills and moved motions of urgent national importance, and undertaken patriotic parliamentary advocacies.”

He emphasized that Senator Ubah, who is the Vice-Chairman of Senate Committee on Petroleum (Upstream), Member Senate Committees; Sports, Media and Public Affairs, Petroleum (Downstream), Local Content, Marine Transport, and Customs, Excise and Tarrif, is a pioneer Senator and the national leader of the Young Progressives Party (YPP), a dapper statesman, a man full of ideas, an avid thinker and a visionary leader, characterized by empathy, humility and kindness.

As a leader who values people’s opinion, he uses humility to be more effective and that has been the secret of his success.

In Ubah’s bigger vision, his Media Aide recalls the days of Senator Ahmed Tinubu of Lagos who perfected the political unification of the South West using the defunct Alliance for Democracy (AD) as veritable platform, saying that Senator Ubah has therefore resolved to take the lead and unify South Eastern Nigeria under one political ideology and his party, YPP which will ensure the preservation of the political identity of Ndi Igbo.

He maintained that Senator Ubah, a global business leader is on a resolute mission to rescue an already politically and economically disadvantaged Igbo nation and as one who keeps his creed, the “Gosim kam fu na anya” has arrived to serve as real tool in identifying true leadership and grassroot representation.
