Benue philanthropist charges Church on fairness

From Austine Tule, Makurdi

A Philanthropist, community leader and businessman Ambassador, Philip Wuhe, has enjoined the church to be an unbiased umpire in its quest to enhance the religious lives of worshipers and the society at large.

He equally urged the political class to desist from acts that were aimed at pulling down those in leadership positions as well as those contributing to the development of their communities for parochial and selfish reasons.

Wuhe gave the charge while speaking as a Special Guest at a fund raising event for the completion of NKST Church Tor, in Vandeikya Local Government Area of Benue State.

He posited that it was time the pull- down syndrome was discouraged, noting that development can never thrive amidst such and sued for unity of purpose that would enable a collective approach with a view to attracting development.

The event was chaired by Hon. Bemgba Chia, an elder of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Benue State and former Chairman of the PDP in Vandeikya local government.

Chia urged invited guests to contribute towards the completion of the Chuch bulding, stressing that the building the house of Lord attract a lot of blessings.

Hon. Chia who was Chairman of the PDP Campaign for Vandeikya local government in the 2019 general elections applauded Hon. Wuhe to have contributed to the building of the Church building.

He added that Wuhe had over the years demonstrated a high zeal for community development as exemplified by his numerous community projects in the area and urged others to emulate him.

Church leaders, who spoke to this medium expressed gratitude over the gesture by Wuhe and prayed God to continue to guide and protect him in his future endeavours.
