The Assemblies of God Nigeria , Aliudo District in Abia State, has commended Governor Okezie Ikpeazu for the reappointment of its member, Dr Philips Nto as the Provost, Abia State College of Education (Technical), Arochukwu for a second tenure.
The Church also pledged to continue to pray for the governor and all officers of the government for God to assist them to accelerate the development of the State.
The District Superintendent of the Church in Aliudo, Rev Ambassador Akuma made this known when members of the newly elected executive of the District paid a courtesy call on Dr Nto.
Rev Akuma said the Church was proud of Dr Nto for the developmental projects he had achieved for ASCETA in such a short time, and commended the governor for his administration’s continued support to ASCETA under the watch of Dr. Nto.
He said it was a thing of joy that Dr Nto had exhibited those values and principles he imbibed from the Church and had allowed the same to guide him in the discharge of his duties.
In his response, the Provost, Dr Philips Nto expressed gratitude to the Church for the visit, describing it as a morale booster and deep encouragement.
He disclosed that he had always worked with the fear of God because of his background as a member of the Assemblies of God Church.
While pledging to work assiduously to realise the transformation plan of the Governor for ASCETA, the Provost urged the Clergy to always remember Dr Okezie Ikpeazu in their prayers.
He also charged the new District Executives to pay attention to the development of the local Churches under them so as to spread the Gospel to all nooks and crannies.
Present at the courtesy call were the Deputy Provost of the College, Dr Solomon Iheonunekwu, the Registrar, Mr Iyke Odoemelam and other members of the College Management.
