Fani Kayode has betrayed Ndigbo, joins APC to campaign for Tinubu, Jonathan – MASSOB

From Steve Oko, Umuahia

The Uchenna Madu-led Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has accused former Minister for Aviation, Femi Fani Kayode of betraying Ndigbo.
MASSOB alleged that the recent romance between  Kayode and the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, and his rumoured defection to the party would hurt the much talked-about President of Igbo extraction in 2023.

According to MASSOB, for the former Minister who has been vocal and supportive of power shift to South East come 2023, to suddenly begin to hobnob with APC is suspicious.

MASSOB in a press statement by the leader, Madu, expressed shock at Kayode’s sudden drift towards APC.

The pro-Biafra group accused Kayode of positioning to work for the rumoured presidential ambition of either Ahmed Tinubu or ex-President Goodluck Jonathan.

The statement read in part:”He has been romancing with the APC politically since mid last year after Bola Tinubu convinced him to stop criticizing President Muhammadu Buhari clueless administration.

“Femi Kayode inroad to APC is primarily to support and campaign for the presidential ambition of Bola Tinubu as a fellow Yoruba man.

“They are working seriously even to convince other top Yoruba leaders including former president Olusegun Obasanjo, Woke Soyinka to give credibility support to the presidential ambition of Bola Tinubu for the sake of youruba political interest in Nigeria.

“The second reason of Femi Kayode’s defection to APC is to campaign for the former president Goodluck Jonathan if Bola Tinubu’s presidential ambitions crashed.

“Goodluck Jonathan will soon declare for APC because of the promise and assurances giving to him by Northern caliphate.

“These political arrangements and strategies will fail because Nigeria is heavily pregnant, only the people of Southeast will determine if she will live or die because we hold the lifewire of Nigeria.

“MASSOB is not against APC or support PDP. We have respected Igbo leaders in both APC and PDP whom we equally respect.

“APC and PDP should not push the people of South East to the wall because Ndigbo holds the survival and destruction of Nigeria.

“The destruction of Nigeria will never affect Ndigbo but it will totally destroy the Fulanis and their  Hausa collaborators, even the yorubas will not survive it.

“The Northern caliphate can no longer dictate the political future of Nigeria again. The political reality of 2023 will prove them wrong because Ndigbo will take another political dimension that will determine the next step for Nigeria.”

MASSOB advised Igbo leaders associating with Femi Kayode to exhibit extra carefulness “because Femi Kayode is a core full blooded Yoruba man who always hate everything about Igbo”.

” He is like his father, Obafemi Awolowo. He can never support an Igbo man to be President of Nigeria”.
