Zamfara close all boarding schools- Some abducted students return home

Some of the girls abducted from Jangebe Government Girls Secondary School in Zamfara State have returned home after escaping from the hands of the kidnappers.


Seven of the girls who returned home Friday claimed that of the kidnapped school girls had also escaped and are expected back soon.
This latest information in the ongoing saga was disclosed by a source who spoke with Channels Television from Jangebe town via a phone call on Friday evening.


The source confirmed that the girls returned home on their own having escaped from the hands of their abductors.

Meanwhile, Governor, Bello Matawalle has ordered the immediate closure of all boarding schools in the state.


“As we are making efforts to strengthen security around our schools, I have directed the immediate closure of all boarding secondary schools across the State,” Matawalle said in an evening broadcast.
