From Maduabuchi Nmeribeh, Kano
Following the current waves of insecurity in neighbouring states, coupled with intelligence report, Kano state government has ordered the immediate closure of Bagauda Technical College.
The state Commissioner of Education, Malam Muhammad Sanusi Sa’id, said the decision was informed by, “disturbing intelligence report.”
According to him, the administration of Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje is taking proactive measures to ensure the safety of students, teachers and workers in the College.
Malam Sa’id Kiru further stated that the closure, “was necessitated following a disturbing security report and the need to protect the lives of the students, teachers and other staff of the college.”
He therefore, urged parents to immediately evacuate their children from the College and wait for further directives.
The Commissioner further used the oppurtunity to express appreciation of the state government to parent’s and guardians for their unflinching support and cooperation on government’s policies and directives especially on security related matters.
