The Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN) Plateau State branch says it will strengthen its synergy with labour organisations, state and non-governmental stakeholders for the advancement of PSN.

The new Chairperson of the society, Mrs Kaneng Pam, stated this during the inauguration ceremony of the newly executive council of the society in Jos, the State Capital.

Pam, who said her election was a call to service, said that her administration’s blueprint for the next three years was to design strategic programmes and policies.

According to her, these will assist in expanding robust advocacy and genuine reconciliation with view of projecting the plateau PSN in good light.

She added that the executives would pursue a culture that engenders comprehensive and efficient documentation and recording keeping system.

According to her, the administration would follow-up on the implementation of pharmaceutical care documents for hospital and community pharmacy practice with the view of creating job satisfaction for pharmacists.

“My administration will also pursue the Plateau PSN secretariat building project as it is one of the cardinal focuses of their administration,’’ Pam said.

She commended the immediate past administration for procuring a piece of land for the building of the PSN secretariat and securing the approval to host the PSN national conference slated for 2022.

Pam further commended them for following up on three bills related to pharmaceutical practice at the Plateau State House of Assembly.

Earlier, the outgoing Chairman, Mr Dauda Dangiwa, wished the incoming executive council the best and called for Inter- professional collaboration to move the health sector forward.
