… As party tasks ambassadors on healthy relationship with international community

Ahead of the 2023 general elections, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has stated that it’s membership register has increased tremendously with over forty million as recorded at the end of the party’s just concluded registration and revalidation exercise.
Secretary of the party’s National Caretaker and Extra Ordinary Convention Committee, John James AkpanUdoedehe, who made the disclosure when the party hosted it’s non carrear ambassadors on Monday in Abuja attributed the party’s current peaceful disposition to the embracing leadership style of its Caretaker chairman, Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe state and his team.
The Secretary noted that the caretaker committee met a party register of 12 million members, adding that the party has also enjoyed a relative peace since June 2020,when the caretaker committee was inaugurated “We have a focused and gentle Chairman. Before he came on board, we lost ground. Under his leadership we have regained what we lost and gained more. We had a membership strength of 12 million. I want to inform you your Excellencies, under his leadership, the APC has moved toover 40 million members today.
“Since the creation of this party, we have never enjoyed peace and tranquility that we are enjoying. He has brought in some kind of calmness. We are blessed to have him. He is accesssable. He read your speach before you came and he granted everything you requested. That is the kind of Chairman we have.
Governor Buni while addressing the non carrear ambassadors charged them to seek an improvement I Nigeria’s relationship with the international community in the face of the nation’s currently security challenges
“I wish to congratulate you and your well deserved appointments as ambassadors of the federal republic of Nigeria.
“You are coming at a time when the country is faced with some challenges, especially the security challenge. I have confidence in your individual and your collective capabilities to continue to finding solutions to the challenges facing the country and to strengthen the relationships between Nigeria and your host countries.
“As the ruling party, APC is deeply concern and interested in healthy relationships between Nigeria and international community because a healthy relationship will certainly contribute to the APC administration actualising the party manifesto to improve the lives of Nigerians.
Earlier in his speech, Nigeria’s High Commissioner to Zamfara, Nwanne Onyeabo, who spoke on Behalf of the non-career Ambassadors, requested that the party should carry them along during its upcoming National Convention, even as they are away in their various postings, stressing that as party men they are poised to further contribute to the good governance which our party is providing through our President.
“As a progressive family, sir, we shall remain committed to the party and undoubted to its manifesto in spite of all challenges and shall continue to lend support to the party leadership so that our election shall be the easiest within the political history of Nigeria.
“We request that the party should create a desk in its office to be dealing with non-career ambassadors at our various duty posts.
“We are strong members of APC family, commanding huge loyalty within our various localities and our followers ready to maintain and carry out the principles of APC, …sustaining the unity that led to APC taking over of Nigeria leadership in 2015.
“Meanwhile, it is not by accident that we were nominated for this position it is by hard work and in keeping faith with the party. Let us assure you that that Diaspora Chapters of the party will receive more vigour with our postings and that any other things that the party may expect from us shall be made known to it on time.”
