ABR canvasses for improved teachers’ training in FCT

The Executive Secretary, Africa Brands Review, Mr Joseph Ayodele has advocated for continue training and retraining of teachers in the Federal Capital Territory and beyond.


He stated this during 2021 Africa top school awards held in Abuja.


Ayodele  urged school administrators to take interest in the continuous development of their teachers to boost students’ performance.


He added that the recent COVID-19 pandemic has further brought to the fore the need for schools to transform and be abreast of modern realities.

The ABR secretary said the FCTA has done a lot in the area of training and retraining of teachers and principals, thus leading to improvement in students’ performance in the public examinations.

On some of the awards presented at the event, Ayodele pointed out that schools were selected based on their performance in external examination, students’ performance in tertiary institution as well as their Alumni’s performance in their work lives.

He said persons like the FCT Permanent Secretary, Adesola Olusade, was recognised under the new category of Ambassador of Top schools for reaching the peak of his carriers.
