Nigerian envoy presents letters of credence to Jordan govt

The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan with Concurrent Accreditation the the Republic of Iraq, His Excellency, Faruk Malami Yabo, has presented his letters of Credence to His Majesty, King Abdullah II, Ibn Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan at the Basman Palace in Amman, Jordan.


According to a Press Statement issued by the Embassy of Nigeria in Amman, Jordan, the Jordanian King warmly welcomed the Nigerian Ambassador, wished him a successful tour of duty and expressed the readiness to cooperate with Nigeria in areas of mutual interest to both countries.


The Nigerian Principal envoy during the colourful ceremony also extended Mr. President’s warmest greetings to the King of Jordan and assured him of his commitment in promoting the existing friendly relations between the two countries.


Ambassador Faruk Yabo was accompanied to the event by the Minister Plenipotentiary, Mr. I.Y. Mohammed and the Head of Chancery, Mrs. C. A. Uwazuru.


Nigeria established Diplomatic relations with Jordan in the year 2004. The two countries has been partners in progress in promoting peace in the region.


The Deputy Governor of Kano State, accompanied by his wife and some members of the Nigerian Community in Jordan where hosted to a brief reception held at the Residence of the Ambassador after the successful presentation of the Letters of Credence.

The Ambassador also used the occasion to launch a new mobile app (nigerianembassyjordan.net) which is aimed to enhance service delivery between the Embassy and Nigerian citizens in Jordan.
