No date yet for our Congresses, Convention – APC

The National Caretaker and Extra Ordinary Convention Planning Committee of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has warned it’s members to avoid being duped by fraudsters who are currently circulating false information about the party’s forthcoming congresses and National Convention
The party in a statement issued Thursday by the National Caretaker Committee Secretary,  Senator John AkpanUdoedehe,  maintained that it has not issued any directive for the sale of Congress nomination forms as its been peddled in some quarters.

The statement called on party members to disregard any information to that effect,  insisting that the party has not released any date for the congresses,  neither has it commenced the sale of forms for the exercise
“Our attention has been drawn to an unauthorized message asking members of the party wishing to contest for various posts in the forthcoming congresses to make payments for nomination forms through a bank account.
“Members of the party should disregard the message and avoid making payment into any bank account because the sales of the nomination forms has not commenced.

“This clarification has become necessary in order to ensure that no member of the party is duped in the name of making payments for nomination forms.

“The APC management will use the appropriate channels of communication to inform interested  members when the sales of the forms will commence

The party noted that it  has also alerted the relevant security agencies on the development,  warning that those behind the fraudulent move would be prosecuted for financial crimes when they are apprehended.
