Ebonyi federal lawmaker attracts N3.5bn worth of projects in 18months

Ebonyi national assembly member, representing Ezza South/Ikwo Federal Constituency, Chinedu Ogah, has said he attracted over N3.5bn worth of constituency projects, within his 18 months in office.


The lawmaker, who was elected under the platform of All Progressives Congress, disclosed this while commissioning his completed projects in different communities in Ikwo and Ezza South local government areas of Ebonyi state.


The federal lawmaker said he has about 59 projects which cut across the 31wards that make up the Ezza South and Ikwo federal constituency.


While some of the projects are still under construction, majority of the projects have been completed according to him and will all be commissioned during the ongoing tour of his project sites together with some of his colleagues from the national assembly, to mark his 18 months in office.


Ogah promised his constituents that he will continue to provide them with developmental projects.


Some of the projects include; construction of a bridge at Nzashi Echara Ikwo Ndiagu Echara 1, rural electrification at Obegu Echara Ikwo Ndiagu Echara1, construction of a modern hospital Idembia Enyibichiri Alike Ikwo Enyibichiri.


Provision/installation of 300kva transformer at Sacred Heart Parish, Alike Ikwo Noyo & Enyibichiri, hand pump borehole at Omege Noyo, construction of 2 span bridge at Ndiova Echialike Ikwo Echialike & Noyo, provision/ supply of drugs to hospital Nwoyelishi Echialike, and the construction of bridge at Onyikwa Alike, Ndufu Alike.


He also hinted that in partnership with Amanda Marga Universal Relief Team (AMURT), a rural nongovernmental organization hospital in Ebonyi, awarded the contract for the construction of boreholes in each of the eleven wards in Ezza South. He said seven of the boreholes have been completed.


The federal lawmaker, disclosed that about 570 graduates have been employed in the federal scheme courtesy of his office and assured that he will continue to attract developmental as well as empowerment packages to his constituency.
