Unknown gun men kill SEDI DG, orderly in Enugu

The Director General,Scientific equipment development Institute,SEDI, Enugu, Prof. Samuel Ndubuisi,was yesterday killed along with his police orderly by yet to be identified gun men.


The incident occurred along Enugu to Port Harcourt express road,at an axis known as Enugu centenary city.An eyewitness said the traffic grid enhanced by the on going construction of one lane of the Enugu to Port harcourt express road,enabled his assainators to have shot him at close range inside a black coloured  jeep he was conveyed.


It was gathered the assailants first shot his police orderly seated in front of the jeep before riddling him with bullets.


The late Prof Samuel Ndubuisi was the former dean faculty of engineering Enugu State University of Science and Technology(ESUT).


The Enugu Police Public Relations Officer,Ndukwe(ASP) in a press statement said the command is investigating the report of a man reportedly killed along the Enugu to Port harcourt road, by unkown gun men.


The Killing of Professor Nfubuisi on Tuesday,July 7, evening ocurred barely three days, Mr Ifeanyi Okeke, the managing director of Auto Ease motors, was murdered in similar circumstances in Enugu.


It was gathered his assailants trailed him along Independent layout, where he went to pick his child from a salon,around 7pm. His assailants who deliberately drove behind him,gave a dent on his car.When he came down to observe the dent, at gun point they ordered him to lie down on the tarmac before riddling him with bullets.


Over a month ago,a retired judge of the Enugu state high court was trailed to the popular Ebeano tunnel,along Abakaliki road from Okpara avenue while riding on his car.The assailants stopped him at gun point and murdered him instantly,without taking his car or any of his personal belongings.
