One of the fastest growing schools in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Cradle 2 Havard International School, Abuja, has organised graduation ceremony for some of its students.
Speaking during the event, which attracted the Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Edward Onoja, on Thursday in Abuja, President/Founder of the school, Phrank Shaibu, expressed delight over the huge successes so far recorded by the school since its formal take-off in October, 2020.
He said the school, which was born out from his passion for quality education, was a creation of the Almighty God and child of prophesy.
Speaking further, Shaibu revealed that a graduating student of the school and Speaker of Students Representative Council, Miss Remilekun Barnabas recently secured a scholarship worth 72,000 dollars from an American University.
“Only few days ago, the school also secured another 40,000 dollars scholarship for this girl,” Shaibu said, adding that the school is connected to over 103 scholarship platforms across the world.
While saying the school within six months of its establishment got an accreditation as a centre for the Senior School Certificate Examinations (SSCEs), the Kogi State-born politician-cum educationist, assured parents of the readiness to always give the best to students.
“This is a school that is deliberate about what the parents want, that is why we installed CCTV cameras in all the 48 classrooms, where parents have unfettered access to the learning activities of their children. You dnt just see the children, you can hear their teachers, ” he said.
Shaibu said the school consists of a creche, nursery, primary and secondary and has also established “the Ontario secondary school diploma, which is a certification approved by Canadian government. Successful candidates from that programme will gain admission to any programme in any university in the world.
On his part, the Kogi’s deputy governor, Edward Onoja, commended the school management and parents for the uncommon feats being recorded by the school.
Onoja said the importance of education prompted the Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, to make education the number one of his nine-point agenda.
He said the move has seen to establishment of a university of science and technology in the state as well as the ongoing construction of three model science secondary schools in the three senatorial zones of the state.
Onoja charged the graduating students to be good ambassadors of the school even as he promised to pay the next school fees of two students who won quiz competition during the event.
The AUTHORITY reports that the graduation ceremony also witnessed a paper presentation on Importance of Education In Nation Building by M. Dantata – founder of All States Group, debate competition between students, gymnastics display, among others.
About 80 students graduated from various classes of the school during the event.
