Abducted Kano Children: Court Sentences Paul To 104 Years Imprisonment

Paul Owne, was on Friday convicted and sentenced to 104 years imprisonment for masterminding the abduction of over a dozen of Kano children.


Justice Zuwaira Yusuf of  Kano High Court 2,  who gave the verdict, directed that Paul be moved behind bars, without option of fine.


Though he was also asked to tender the sum of N100, 000 before the court, even as he proceeds to the Correctional Centre.


Paul pleaded guilty to the 38 charges leveled against him by the prosecution counsel.


The Defence Counsel did not object to the judgment.


 Paul is on his way to jail for  conspiring with five others to kidnap many children who are under 10 years old from Kano  and sold them at Onitsha in Anambra state.


The five others who were arraigned in court with Paul include  OgbonoEmmanuel, Igwe Loise, Duru Monica, Oracha Chinelo and  Ifedigwe.


They, however, did not plead guilty to the charges leveled against them.
