House Leader Doguwa Donates Vehicles, Buildings To Enhance Security In Rano Emirate

The Leader of House of Representatives,

Alhassan Ado Doguwa has donated six brand new Hilux vans, N250 million worth of multi-purpose Hall, brand new Divisional police station and a branch of Kano Road Traffic Agency (KAROTA) office to enhance security in Rano Emirate of Kano state.


Kano state Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje  who received the donations while inaugurating the Rano Emirate Community Policing Committee on Sunday, described Doguwa’s gesture as timely and valuable to the enhancement of security within the Emirate and the entire Kano state.


Ganduje who commended President Muhammadu Buhari and the Service Chiefs for working round the clock to solve the problem of insecurity in the country, stated that the issue of security of lives and property is everybody’s concern and urged good spirited individuals and corporate organizations to complement government’s efforts in that direction.


According to him, considering the peculiarity of Kano as a cosmopolitan state and aan emerging mega-city, the state government designed strategies to secure the state, which include establishment of security dormitories at all entry points in the state.


He added that government also installed CCTV monitors at strategic locations in the state, just as governmemt built RUGA and military training centre at Dansoshiya and Falgore forests has taken adequate control of Kano forests.


Ganduje further stated that the state government has continued to ensure that all security agencies in the state work in synergy in the discharge of their duties.


He said the state government recently sponsored the training of over 4000 police constabularies in its bid to enhance security of lives and property.


He, however, urged traditional rulers to ensure that community policing is working efficiently in their various domains.


Ganduje hailed Doguwa for his kind gesture, adding that, “we have to respect and appreciate the House leader for what he has done.”


Governor Ganduje handed over three Hilux vehicles to the police, one to KAROTA and another one to the military base at the Falgore forest.


In his remarks, Doguwa who is representing Tudun Wada/Doguwa at the House of Representatives commended Ganduje for showing concern and working hard to protect lives and property in Kano which has risen to the status of the most peaceful state in the country.


Doguwa who goes by the title Sarduanan Rano, however, recalled that before now, Tudun Wada/Doguwa Federal constituency was a haven for bandits and criminals who camped at the Falgore forest, pointing out that Ganduje’s initiatives and policies on security has brought peace and stability in the areas people now sleep with their two eyes closed, while commuters travel without fear of being attacked or molested by bandits and criminals.


The event held in Doguwa town  was attended by members of Governor Ganduje’s cabinet, the Emir of Rano, His Highness, Kabiru Mohammed Inuwa, and all the security chiefs in Kano state.
