KEDCO MD Says Metering Key To Customers’ Satisfaction

The Managing Director of Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO),  Dr. Jamil Isyaku Gwamna, has assured of adequate customer satisfaction through metering of all customers in the company’s franchise areas.

Dr. Gwamna insisted  that metering remained key to customer satisfaction as well as improving Non Maximum Demand Customers’ collection.

According to him,  the company was fast-tracking all metering processes to achieve complete meter coverage of all customers in Kano franchise. 

Dr. Gwamna added that doing so would help guarantee the satisfaction of its numerous customers across Kano, Katsina and Jigawa States. 

He said metering was a solution to many of the challenges in power distribution like ending complaints on estimated billing and ensuring adequate measurement of energy consumption.

“That is why we are enforcing the policy in full in line with the intention of the Federal Government.

“It is in this light that we are also calling on all our customers to stop meter bypass and illegal connection and other practices inimical to the implementation of metering programme in Kano franchise,” he stated.

The Kano DisCo CEO also appealed to customers to jettison meter apathy, adding that, “metering will do everybody a lot of good.”
