Education Of Girl Child Is My Number One Priority -Hon Nnamobi

Story By Jonathan Lois

House of Reps Member who representing Ahoada-West/Egbema/Ndoni West, federal Constituency. Hon Uchechuku Nnamobi has said that education of the girl child is very important and that his number one priority.

Nnamobi stated that he is currently working on computer education projects which he believe would encourage the people of his constituency especially for the girl child.

“first of all it’s a right and attainable possibilities of having girl child education. It can actually break the circle of poverty.

“The nation grows to be a better place when it pay much attention on women because women are often seen as the weaker gender but I can tell you that they’re the stronger one.

“The importance of having the computer education for girl child is to help them in computer literacy in whatever they do.

“Our purpose is to serve our people. So we are happy that 50 of the girls were able to have the training and were also told that they would be given the computer and also some token so they could find their way home and take care of other things,” he said

The lawmaker however, said that without education you and I won’t even be here and am sure you won’t even know how to operate your phone, so it’s like encoding and decoding, we all know technology works everywhere even in online schools.

We also have things we’ve done on the past for them and we’re hoping to do more especially in the area of youth empowerment and am hoping at some point we’re able to get grants to help them build small or large scale businesses and be able to incorporate them into opportunities that has actually come our way.
