Presidential candidate of the So coal Democratic Party (SDP), Prince Adewole Adebayohas felicitated Muslim faithful across the country on the occasion of the Islamic New Year, Hijrah 1444 AH, which begans on Saturday July 30, 2022.
The presidential hopeful, who wished Muslims in Nigeria and across the world a New Year filled with blessings and benevolence of the Almighty Allah, asked them to continuously pray for the peace and prosperity of Nigeria.
In a statement released through his Twitter handle, the SDP presidential candidate admonished Muslims to, in the spirit of the New Year, pray for a smooth and refreshing season in our country.
“1 Muharram 1444 AH: Happy New Islamic Year! I wish all Moslems, brothers and sisters, worldwide a most beautiful and very happy Islamic Year full of Mercy and Grace of Allah SWT for Nigeria in these troubling, humbling times and a world in need of truth,justice and peace. Salam!”
He therefore congratulated the Muslim Ummah on the opportunity to witness a new Islamic year, urging them not to relent in praying for the country.
“I commend the Muslim Ummah for the immense contributions they continue to make to the progress of our dear state and wish them a successful and prosperous Hijrah 1444 AH,”
