The Comptroller of Kano/Jigawa Customs Command, Comptroller Mu’azu Hassan Raji, has assured Kano state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Mamman Dauda of maximum support in the fight against crime and criminal activities in the state, particularly during the electioneering campaigns and ahead, on and after the 2023 elections.
“Police are the lead agency in internal security, we must give you maximum cooperation for us all to succeed,” He said while receiving CP Dauda who was on a courtesy call in his office.
Mr. Mamman Dauda, the 44th Commissioner of Police in Kano who was newly posted in the state, paid a courtesy visit to Comptroller Mu’azu Hassan Raji, to furrher cement the existing cordial relatioship between the two security agencies.
In his remarks, CP Mamman Dauda said, “it is a pleasure to be in your office today. I visited you to introduce myself as the Commissioner of Police of Kano State Police Command, interact and familiarize myself with your officers and as partners in progress seek for collaboration to cement the existing synergy among us to make Kano State peaceful.
“With synergy, we will achieve our mandate of maintaining peace and order. We need to continue to work together, share intelligence and collectively achieve our goals.
“Our doors are always open for you, we will continue to give you all the necessary support and assistance needed. I appreciate the reception I received. May Almighty God continue to guide and protect us.”
In his response, Comptroller Mu’azu Hassan Raji stated, “I welcome you CP with your management team to our office and also welcome you to Kano State.
“You were appointed as Commissioner of Police of Kano State when the politics is heated up, and having heard of your wealth of experience, no doubt you have what it takes to Police Kano State, and Insha Allah you will succeed.
“We can not achieve our goals without a friendly environment, and therefore, we must give you maximum cooperation to succeed. We will continue to team up with you, share intelligence, sensitize our officers at the lower level and continue to make Kano State peaceful.
“I assure you of a robust relationship and I wish you successful tenure. Thank you, CP for the visit.”
