Kano: APC Campaign Train Shuts Down Gezawa, Gabasawa, Tudun Wada, Doguwa LGAs

Ahead the February and March general elections, the All Progressive Congress (APC) campaign train under the banner of Gawuna/Garo Campaign Council, has keep moving in peaceful and conquerous pace as they pulled unprecedented crowds at Gezawa, Gabasawa, Tudun Wada, Doguwa Local Government Areas, among other neighbourhoods.

Speaking at Gezawa, the party’s governorship candidate for Kano, who is also the Deputy Governor of the state, Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, expressed optimism that APC will win the forthcoming general elections in Kano, “smoothly and peacefully.”

While addressing a mammoth crowd of party supporters, he said: “Like the State APC Chairman, Prince Abdullahi Abbas said, the APC will win the forthcoming general elections nationwide and at all levels, smoothly and peacefully, by the grace of God.”

Gawuna promised the cheering crowd that he would focus on the development of education, agriculture, healthcare, commerce, as well as providing employment for youths and women.

He also promised to build on the gains of infrastructural development recorded by Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje’s administration if elected as the next Governor of Kano State.

Gawuna who was in company of his running-mate, Hon. Murtala Sule Garo, said he would form a people-oriented government, “where everybody will have a sense of belonging. Afterall, government in a democratic setting, belongs to the people.”

He urged the people of Gezawa and Warawa Local Government Areas and their neighborhoods, including the entire people of Kano state, to continue to pray for peaceful elections.

In his address, the APC Chairman in the state, Prince Abdullahi Abbas, said the APC would win the forthcoming general elections at all levels in Kano state.

According to him, “in fact, it is a foregone conclusion that we have already won the forthcoming elections, considering the impressive performance records of our party and candidates and their popularity among the people.”

In his remarks, the APC Senatorial Candidate for Kano Central, Alhaji Abdulsalam Abdulkarim Zaura, urged the people of the area to vote for the APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his running-mate, Senator Kashim Shettima, as they have the capacity to transform the nation.

Zaura also asked them to vote for Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna and his running-mate, Murtala Sule Garo, to enable them to continue with the laudable programmes of the Ganduje administration.

Zaura also gave cogent reasons why the people should vote for him to emerge the next Senator representing Kano Central at the Upper Chamber of the National Assembly.

He promised to ensure a purposeful and result-oriented representation, just as he urged them to vote for the APC candidates for House of Representatives and State Assembly from the area.

The same scenario was replicated at Tudun Wada and Doguwa Local Government Areas when the APC campaign train moved into the dormain of the Majority Leader of House of Representatives, Hon. Alhasan Ado Doguwa.

The campaign entourage led by Gawuna, was welcomed by unprecedented crowd of party supporters.

Gawuna and his team made the same promises and commitments after presenting flags to candidates vying for various positions in the area.

Hon Alhassan Ado Doguwa, representing Doguwa/Tudun Wada Federal Constituency who is also the Sardaunan Rano, while receiving his party’s flag from Gawuna, promised to ensure that APC get 100 percent victory from his constituency.

In his declaration speech shortly after receiving the official flag of the party, Alhasan Doguwa charged the good people of Doguwa and Tudun Wada to take their destinies into their hands by using their PVCs to vote for all the APC candidates on the day of the elections.

He, therefore, promised to continue building a better Doguwa/Tudun Wada Federal Constituency with the delivery of the dividends of democracy to his constituents and make their welfare his priority at all times.
