Manufacturers Association Chairman bags Sun Newspaper’s award

Chairman of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria, representing Anambra, Enugu and Ebonyi zone, Lady Ada Chukwudozie, was at the weekend, in Lagos, honoured as the Industrialist of the year 2022.

The award ceremony, which was organized by the Sun Newspaper, during its annual event, also saw 25 other distinguished personalities across the country as recipients.

Presenting the award, the Sun Newspaper said, it was in recognition of her trailblazing achievements in the corporate world and her numerous contributions to the economy, especially the industrial and manufacturing sector.

Receiving the award, Lady Chukwudozie expressed gratitude to God who gave her the enablement to all the achievements that positioned her for the award and thanked the Sun Newspapers for finding her worthy of such an honor. 

She dedicated the award to her darling husband, Chief Dr (Sir) Daniel Chukwudozie (OON), Executive Chairman, Dozzy Group; whom she described as her strength and the wings she flies on. 

In an interview with newsmen, Lady Chukwudozie expressed delight with the award, pointing out that Nigerian women are beginning to take a place of prominence in national growth and development. 

She said, “I’m committed to giving my best in all my endeavors and tailoring my life to being a model and reference point to the girl child. 

“I therefore, dedicate this award, also to all Nigerian women aspiring for greatness and limelight wherever they are”. 

An Anambra born Industrialist, Lady Chukwudozie recently emerged the chairman of MAN for Anambra, Enugu and Ebonyi States Zone, with over 150 member companies, breaking records as the first female to occupy the position in the region. 

During the ceremony, Lady Chukwudozie was described as a “trailblazer, a versatile Business Administrator, an innovative Corporate Czar, an astute Business Development expert, a Chemical Engineer per excellence, a compassionate philanthropist, a generational role model to the Girl- child, a glamour queen endowed with intelligence and wisdom and a woman of uncommon virtues”.

Lady Adaora Chukwudozie (FIOD, MNSE) who is also the Executive Director of Dozzy Group with more than 14 subsidiary companies, was honored alongside Governors Nyesom Wike (Rivers), Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu), Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia), Douye Diri (Bayelsa), Ahmadu Fintiri (Adamawa), Darius Ishaku (Taraba), and the Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, Mallam Mele Kyari, amongst others.
