The Yobe State Police commissioner C.P Haruna G.Garba , has felicitated with Muslims across the state on completion of the holy month of Ramadan .
He wished Muslim Ummah a happy Eid – EL- Fitr celebration, free of rancour and also wished the Muslim Ummah of safety and security during and after the celebration .
He warned that ” his command will not tolerate any act of reckless driving by commuters during the festivities” stressing that those moving with dangerous weapons should refrain from it as the command would deal appropriately with any culprit .
The commissioner who congratulated the people on behalf of the command and himself as the CP, sought the cooperation of members of the public in order to ensure a hitch-free celebrations .
In another development , the Nigeria Civil Defense and Security Corps ( NCDSC) had deployed 762 personnel to various formations in the state to ensure a peaceful celebration .
This was disclosed by the spokesperson of the corps, Assistant Superintendent of Corps ( ASC), Bala Garba in Damaturu, ” that security will be provided in all the praying grounds across Yobe .”
He urged the general public to assist the corps with credible information and other relevant security agencies in the state .
