The Kano State Chapter of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has endorsed Senator Barau Jubrin as the best candidate for the 10th Senate Presidency.
The leadership of the party declared unalloyed support for Senator Jubrin after a crucial meeting, requesting that the national leadership of the party and the President-elect, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu should endorse Senator Jubrin as Senate president.
The Kano APC leadership maintained that Kano has done well in making APC both at the center and in the state a winning party.
The State APC Chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Abbas, told journalists that, “in the whole of these years that APC played significant role in making it to obtained political offices positions, Senator Barau Jibrin was at the center of these victories.”
According to him, Kano North where Senator Barau Jibrin came from has never allowed any party to capture the area because of influence of the Senator.
“Significantly, Kano tremendously gave APC victory in 2015, 2019 and now 2023, with the State producing the highest votes across the Federation, but, we had never requested for any serious position at the center
” In the last general elections 2023, Kano gave over 500,000 votes highest in the entire Country, therefore it will pertinent if Kano is allowed and supported to produce the next Senate Presidency,” he said.
He appealed to the National Leadership of APC, the President-elect and the elected Senators to overwhelmingly support Barau Jibrin to become the next Senate President.
