A Cyber Security Expert, Professor Ojo Emmanuel Ademola, has given five recipes he believes will make the incoming Tinubu administration achieve success.
The Professor of Cyber Security/Information Technology Management who was Guest Speaker at the Triangle News Media Awards in London on Saturday urged the Tinubu-Shettima administration to assemble men and women of sound minds with proven records to serve as ministers and leaders in ministries, departments and agencies of government with a yearly assessment of their performance.
He said meritocracy must be used as the instrument for assessing and sustaining leadership.
He also identified removal of fuel subsidy and injection of the funds into the national infrastructure plan.
Other recipes are quick implementation of a credit-based economy that provides youth with access to automobile loans, housing loans and student loans; Quick implementation of a federal government back financial instruments for facilitation of both import and export trade in Nigeria and Establishment of a national infrastructure fund through contributions from companies, organizations and net-worth individuals
He said Tinubu will overcome the three-pronged challenges of security, economy and socio-cultural dysfunction confronting the Nigerian nation at this critical moment and rapidly move to reposition Nigeria on the path of safety, growth, progress, equity, justice and fairness.
He said: “The president-elect administration, among a myriad of challenges, will contend with inherited security, economy and social cohesion problems, but characteristically, Asiwaju Tinubu has the resourcefulness to address the issues”.
The professor who has made accurate prognoses and forecasts towards the Nigerian presidential and governorship elections in February and March this year posited that Asiwaju Tinubu, by antecedents, is imbued with the appropriate leadership and political attributes to restore hope to a fledgling nation.
“Asiwaju Bola Tinubu served as the Executive Governor of Lagos State between May 1999 and 2007, confronting multifaceted socio-economic and Infrastructural challenges in the cosmopolitan city, and was able to surmount them, laying a solid foundation for the current mega city status of the State”, he stated.
Prof Ademola listed Asiwaju Tinubu’s success feats and initiatives in Lagos including robust deepening of the internally generated revenue (IGR); expansion of local administration with the creation of additional 34 Local Council Development Areas; creation and deployment of State Rapid Response Security Network to tackle the security menace in the State; massive injection of local health centres across the Local Councils, regeneration of the Business Centres with adequate Infrastructures to enhance the economic growth of the State, among others.
Prof Ademola assured that the Seven-Point Economic Agenda of the Asiwaju Tinubu’s led Administration would turn round the economic fortune of the Country within a short-medium timeframe, explaining that the strategies have been well laid out, and would be implemented by seasoned technocrats.
