A group, under the aegis of Diaspora Medics for Good Governance and the UpNorth Ambassadors for Peter Obi have called on the Court to stop the inauguration of Bola Tinubu as President of Nigeria, on the premise that there are still several pending issues involving the the President-elect.
The groups also called
on the Judiciary to be fair in the discharge of their functions.
Chigozie Alex, Convener of the group, made the call in a press statement made available to journalists in Jos, the Plateau State Capital.
Alex said that members of the groups came out in their numbers to protest in Abuja, challenging the declaration Tinubu as President-elect.
The convener called on the judiciary to conclude the case before the May 29, adding that such move would enable Nigerians have more confidence in the judicial system.
”The Judiciary is the last hope of the common man and the fate of Nigeria lies on its shoulders.
”The world is watching, our Judiciary should do the right thing,”he advised
The groups have vowed to keep showing up on each day of the Court of Appeal’s proceedings in anticipation that the judiciary does the right thing.
