The Ebonyi state government said it took urgent steps to revamp justice delivery by moving from `retributive to restorative ‘ justice system to sanitize and bring visible reformation in the system.
The governor who spoke during the Independent Day Anniversary at new Government Gouse , Abakaliki, explained that the state government has procured 35 brand new JAC SUVs for Magistrates in the State and also digitalised and automated the Ministry of Justice with world-class Case Management System Website.
He also noted that the State Multi-Door Court House, digitization and automation of the Ministry of Justice, creation of Appeal, Legal Research, Law Reporting and ICT, as well as Sexual Assault and Gender-based
with world-class Case Management System Website was equally established in collaboration with the Judiciary.
The governor also used the opportunity to distribute palliative to Ebonyians and pledged to ensure welfare of the people.
