The Commissioner of Police (CP), Federal Capital Territory (FCT) , Haruna Garba, has expressed shock over the demise of the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Gambo Zakari Ya’u, who peacefully passed away in the early hours of October 11, 2023.
In a statement by the Command Spokesperson, SP Josephine Adeh, CP Gar.ba condoles with the family, friends and loved ones of the deceased, praying the Almighty to give them the grace to overcome this painfull moment.
While offering prayers for the peaceful repose of late DCP Ya’u, the CP reiterated that “the loss of DCP Gambo Zakari Ya’u is a profound and deeply-felt one within the FCT Police Command. His contributions and dedicated service will be dearly missed.”
DCP Gambo Zakari Ya’u, a native of Kotangora LGA in Niger State, commenced his distinguished career in the Nigeria Police Force as a Cadet Inspector on April 2, 1990. Until his demise, he diligently served in the capacity of Deputy Commissioner of Police Training .
