The Zinariyan of Lokoja, Dr Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu, has extended her warm congratulations to Dr Nasir Yusuf Ganuwa on his victory at the Court of Appeal.
Recall that the tribunal led by Justice Oluyemi Akintan Osadebay had sacked Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State.
on September 20, 2023.
The Court of Appeal sitting in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja, on Friday 17 November, upheld the verdict of the tribunal.
According to a congratulatory message signed by Dr Aliyu, Ganuwa’s victory is evidence that the judicial system is not dead as naysayers portray.
She said, “I rejoice with the great people of Kano in congratulating HE, Dr Nasir Yusuf Ganuwa on his Appeal Court victory as the new duly elected Governor of Kano State. Your victory is a testament that the Nigerian Judiciary still serves its purpose as the last hope of the masses.
“You have a track record that is people-driven, and I’m confident that you will not only deliver the dividends of democracy to the people of Kano, but will uphold the values of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), especially in alignment with the RENEWED HOPE mantra of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.
She, however, thanked the people of Kano and the leadership of the APC for the great feat.
“I also extend my profound gratitude to the good people of Kano for keeping faith, and the APC led by HE. Abdullahi Ganduje for standing on the side of destiny, ” she said.
