By Nasir Dambatta

In just one year, Governor Uba Sani has revolutionized Kaduna State with unprecedented achievements, leaving a trail of transformative milestones in his wake.

His unstoppable momentum has brought about a new era of progress, empowerment, safety, and security, never seen before in the state. What’s more, his masses-friendly policies have brought relief to the people, who had hitherto suffered under previous administrations. Gone are the days of demolition of houses, sacking of teachers, and abandoned infrastructure projects. Instead, the administration has launched infrastructure projects with tractors and caterpillars on standby, ready to transform the state’s landscape.

Empowerment has been at the heart of Governor Sani’s agenda, with a series of financial support programmes for start-ups, small businesses, and vulnerable groups. The “A Kori Talauci” initiative, a pioneering effort to crush poverty, has empowered millions of youths, cutting across gender, to become self-sufficient. Additionally, thousands of women have received ICT training from Google, making them tech-savvy and ready to take on the digital world.

The Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) fund has provided massive support to small business owners, regardless of gender, enabling them to grow and thrive. This gender-sensitive approach has ensured that everyone has an equal opportunity to succeed. The impact has been remarkable, with many beneficiaries already making a name for themselves in their chosen fields.

Talk of safety and security, he has recorded major milestones in degrading terrorists and criminals. The notorious Boderi Isyaku, who unleashed a reign of terror on Kaduna-Niger State borders, was successfully neutralized, bringing an end to years of sorrow, tears, and blood. This achievement has brought immense relief to the people of Kaduna, majority of who can now live and work without fear. To further enhance security, the administration has recruited and trained 7,000 additional KADVIS vigilante service personnel, in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force. Hundreds of new patrol vehicles, including motorbikes and equipment have been procured, providing logistics support to security forces. The State Emergency Management Agency has also been strengthened to provide timely assistance to victims of terror attacks and natural disasters.

Of a truth, infrastructure development has been another area of focus, with nearly a thousand roads spread across the state either renovated or constructed. This has effectively connected rural communities, promoting economic activities and improving the quality of life. Healthcare delivery centers, skill acquisition centers, and schools have also been renovated and constructed, providing access to quality education and healthcare. To make education more accessible, he has scaled down school fees in all tertiary institutions, making knowledge more affordable and within reach. This move has been widely applauded, as it has opened doors for many young people to pursue their academic dreams.

Administratively speaking, he has taken steps to reduce the cost of governance, ensuring that resources are used efficiently and effectively. He has also paid pensioners and other retirees in billions, bringing relief to those who have served the state. Furthermore, he has approved the 2014 salary structure for Resident Doctors, recognizing their critical role in the healthcare system.

In the health sector, all the Primary Healthcare Centres in Kaduna have been fully equipped and upgraded, with highly qualified medical personnel assigned to each center. This quiet revolution has improved healthcare delivery, ensuring that every citizen has access to quality medical care.

Farmers in Kaduna are now smiling, thanks to the massive funding for the agricultural sector. They have received inputs and training, boosting food production and ensuring food security in the state. Plans are underway to create irrigation channels, especially in rural areas, to further enhance agricultural productivity.

Civil servants have not been left out, with the reported release of N500 million Revolving Fund providing timely support for their career development. This move has boosted their morale, enabling them to serve the state with renewed enthusiasm and dedication. He has also built a Township Stadium, providing a platform for youths to engage in sports and promoting a culture of fitness and wellness.

Most remarkably, Governor Uba Sani has successfully united Kaduna citizens, erasing ethnic and religious disharmony with amazing speed. His inclusive approach has brought people together, fostering a sense of belonging and shared purpose. This has been a significant achievement, given the state’s history of divisions and conflicts.

Furthermore, Governor Uba Sani has attracted Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) deals to Kaduna State, bringing in much-needed investment and creating jobs for the people. This is a testament to his administration’s commitment to economic growth and development.

It is unmistakable that he has introduced a “free education” policy from primary to secondary school, ensuring that every child in Kaduna has access to quality education, regardless of their background or financial situation. This move has been widely welcomed, as it has opened doors for many young people to pursue their academic dreams.

These mind-blowing milestones are a testament to Governor Uba Sani’s visionary leadership, commitment to the people, and unwavering dedication to transforming Kaduna State. His unstoppable momentum has ignited a new wave of progress, and the state is poised for even greater heights in the years to come. As the administration continues to push boundaries and defy limits, one thing is clear: Kaduna State is on the move, and nothing can stop its march towards greatness.
