TETFund boss, Echono, meets with APC stakeholders, reaffirms support for Tinubu, Akume

In a pivotal meeting with All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders, Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) Executive Secretary, Arch. Sonny Echono, reiterated his unwavering support for President Bola Tinubu and the APC government.

The meeting, held in Benue South Senatorial District, gathered party members who expressed optimism about leveraging Echono’s influence to strengthen the party’s support base among the Idoma and Igede communities.

Mr. Ochojila Adah, a participant in the meeting, conveyed that Echono’s assurance of continued support for the APC, President Tinubu, and the party’s state leader, Senator George Akume, would fortify the party’s presence in Benue South. Echono emphasized his longstanding relationship with Senator Akume and his commitment to the party’s success.

Known for his technocratic expertise and non-partisan approach, Echono has earned widespread respect in Benue. His tenure as Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education saw significant achievements, including the establishment of the Federal College of Education Odugbo and the Federal University of Health Sciences Otukpo. As TETFund Executive Secretary, he has also created numerous job opportunities for residents across ethnic groups.

APC members in Zone C are confident that Echono’s extensive goodwill and strategic leadership will help consolidate the party’s majority status in Benue. The meeting underscored the party’s efforts to solidify its support and address any challenges ahead of the upcoming elections.

Key attendees at the meeting included Comrade Austin Agada, Prof. John Enyi, Bishop Pinot Ogbaji, former Representative for Otukpo/Ohimini Chief Agbo Ogah, and former Representative for Ado/Okpokwu/Ogbadibo Rt. Hon. David Idoko. Their presence highlighted the collective effort to strengthen the party’s foundation in Benue South.

This reaffirmation of support by Echono is seen as a significant boost for the APC, promising a more united and robust political front in the region.
