Ngelale, AfDB discuss funding for Nigeria’s renewable energy agenda

Nigeria and the the African Development Bank (AfDB) on Friday discussed funding options for the country’s efforts in renewable energy technology manufacturing. 

The was disclosed to journalists by Nigeria’s Special Presidential Envoy on Climate Action, Chief Ajuri Ngelale.

Noting the progress being made in that financing quest, Ngelale explained thus: “On Friday, we hosted a team of executives from the African Development Bank (AfDB) who shared some seminal views with us on financing prospects across multiple spheres of renewable energy technology manufacturing. 

“Needless to say that our efforts to attract qualitative sponsorship for critical green industrial activities are gaining momentum.”

Ngelale announced that he later joined a call with the leadership of Schneider Electric alongside the Managing Director of InfraCorp, Dr. Lazarus Angbazo, and the Secretary of the Presidential Steering Committee on Project Evergreen, Mrs. Lolade Abiola.

The kernel of discussion this time was “actionable next steps in our push for value chain localization in an articulated partnership for Evergreen City”, revealed Ngelale, who is also President Bola Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Media an Publicity.
