Group condemns planned August 1 protest in Abuja

A group, Abuja Aborigines Network has condemned the planned staging of protest in the Nation’s capital come August 1, and called on the youth to support the leaders in sustaining peace.

President of the group, Donald Amagbo stated this while briefing journalists in Abuja at the weekend.

This is coming as aggrieved Nigerians had few days ago started the campaign against #Endbadgovernance and fix August 1 to 10 for nationwide protest

Amagbo urged youths in Abuja to resist any attempt that would make the city and Nigeria ungovernable but to help government achieve the desired results.

He said checks revealed that the planned protest is targeted at causing anarchy and bringing division in the city.

According to him,”We hereby Condemn in totality and ready to resist the planned Protest designated to be in some landmark cities in Nigeria, including Abuja

The president promised to support the security agencies to fish out the undesirable elements living in Abuja, if they are..

He said, “we don’t want this unrest but desires Peace , We also feel the pains of Presidents Reforms …and can see the Progress made in the Federal Capital Territory” Said Amagbo.
