In line with the security advocacy and stakeholder engagement efforts led by Anambra State Commissioner of Police, CP Nnaghe Obono Itam, the CP has played host to vigilante operatives security outfits from Nnewi in Nnewi North LGA of the state.
The aim of the meeting according to the CP is to integrate all security outfits for harmonized intelligence sharing.
CP Itam in the meeting which held at the Local Government Secretariat Headquarters commended the Vigilante Groups and Security Outfits for their commitment, dedication, and selfless service in assisting the Police to prevent crime.
He urged the operatives to maintain unity and avoid being used against one another, especially in the communities they are meant to protect.
The CP also pledged greater cooperation from officers and men of the Command.
He also paid a courtesy visit on the traditional ruler of Nnewi, HRH Igwe (Dr) KON Orizu III, and other stakeholders in the area.
He expressed his gratitude for their contributions to the police and other security agencies in ensuring the safety of the state, particularly in Nnewi.
The event was attended by the Transitional Committee (TC) Chairman of Nnewi North LGA, Engr Chris Obiora, the President General of Nzuko-Ora Nnewi, Chief Maduka Atuenyi, members of the Nnewi Concerns Citizens Security Outfit, members of Ethel Security Services, members of the Nnewi North LGA Security Strike Force, members of the Nnewi Central Vigilante and other security stakeholders.
