The Northern Alternative Forum (NAF), a prominent socio-political organisation in the North, has expressed heartfelt condolences to the National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu, on the demise of his mother-in-law, Hajiya Ummu Iya Abubakar (Babba).
In a statement signed by its national chairman, Mallam Gidado Ibrahim, the forum described the loss as a difficult time, saying, “We are deeply saddened by this loss and share in your grief and sorrow during this difficult time.
“May Almighty Allah SWT grant her soul eternal rest and forgive her shortcomings. May He also grant you and your family the fortitude to bear this loss.”
The NAF chairman further prayed Allah to grant the deceased the highest rank in paradise, saying “We pray that Allah SWT rewards her for all her good deeds, forgives her sins, illuminates her grave, and grants her the highest of ranks in Jannah Al Firdaus.”
Ibrahim also acknowledged the impact of Hajiya Ummu Iya Abubakar’s passing on her family and loved ones, offering support to Ribadu and his family during his trying period.
“Please know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. If there is anything we can do to support you, please do not hesitate to reach out.”
The statement concluded with a message of comfort and strength, saying, “May this period of mourning bring you comfort, peace, and strength. Once again, please accept our heartfelt sympathies.
“We ar Northern Alternative Forum love Ummi. The last time I spoke with her was some few weeks ago when she blessed all of us and prayed generally for the entire country. May her gentle soul rest in peace in Allah’s bossom; Amen!”
