Deejays Association of Nigeria set for 2024 award

In a bid to recognize the contribution of Deejays in the music industry, the Deejays Association of Nigeria said its set for Nigeria deejay award 2024.

This was made known by the National President of the Deejays Association of Nigeria, Prince Edeh, during a press briefing in Abuja, ahead of the forthcoming Nigerian deejay award in December, he said over 5000 registered Deejays member in the industry are to be recognise and celebrated for their contribution to the growth of the music industry in Nigeria.

Earlier, the CEO, leadership scorecard magazine, Humphrey Onyima, highlighted the purpose of the awards as to inspire future generations of Deejays, showing disc jockey as a legitimate and influential career path.

Accordingly to him, ‘the award is aimed to build industry networks, foster collaboration between djs, artists, producers, and other key stakeholders in the music industry.

“While artists, producers and music video directors are often celebrated in numerous award shows, the critical role of deejays remains largely underrepresented.

“Notwithstanding, deejays are vital players in the music ecosystem. They shape trends, promote artists, and serve as cultural ambassadors by introducing new sounds to local and global audiences.”
