QNET, a globally renowned direct selling company, has held its Products Exhibition in Lagos.

Part of the reasons for the expo, aside its impactful business goals was also to help correct the misconceptions about the company and its operations in Nigeria.

Akeem Ajisafe, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Transblue, the only legal representatives of QNET in Nigeria, made the disclosure at Anchor Event Centre, Ikeja, venue of the exhibition, on 16th of November, 2024.

He stated that the partnership between QNET and Transblue has given birth to multiple workshops and Exhibitions.

Ajisafe said that the basic reason for the Expo and workshops by the two companies was to correct misconceptions about QNET in Nigeria. “We are trying to tackle the misconceptions about QNET in Nigeria especially, and that is why we decided to showcase most of our products in exhibition and workshop. This is the second or third time that we are holding this Exhibition in Nigeria to educate people about what we do and how we do it. Now we have come here today to show you some of the products that we offer in Nigeria and how it can be sold which is the direct selling approach so that there would not be any misconceptions about what QNET is and what they do.”

On how Nigerians can derive benefits from the Expo, he said, “You can see that we have the health products, we have the hotel, we have the educational products and we have multiple products, so what that does to the entrepreneur is for them to decide. Like myself, I am always an advocate of being intentional, to me, I do not do jack of all trades, so if you decide to go with any of our class of products, you can build your own kind of entrepreneurship skills on that, and you can always ask questions as to what other things you can do with some of the products or some of the other products that we did not display at this exhibition. You have the opportunity to ask us questions, know more about what QNET can offer in Nigeria.”

Ajisafe who stated that QNET has helped Nigerian economy through direct selling, being tax compliant, paying commissions to those who earned it and empowering youths, disclosed that in terms of economic viability, there is no limit to what QNET can achieve. “If everyone understands the value that QNET brings to Africa, to Nigeria, we would all support it and ensure that it succeeds.” He added that the Federal Inland Revenue Service which is the tax office for Nigeria, was quite impressed about how much QNET has remitted to the tax authorities and of course everyone else that have earned commission through this process would be happy, they won’t have any negative thing to say about QNET.”

Ajisafe also explained Direct selling, “What we have done is to open the door of opportunities to every Nigerian, so if you don’t know what to sell, here is something to sell, if you don’t know how to make money, we have programmes to teach you how to sell it and how to convince people. Direct selling is you understanding the product, and knowing who needs the product. And if you are able to get people who need this product, and they are able to buy it, you start earning a commission after a period of time.

“So we have IR numbers; for those IRs who are going to get others to buy these products, once they buy, and they are able to get others to buy as well, they start earning commission, and what that does, most of these guys do not even have money to start business, zero, you don’t have to have an office in the beginning, but by the time you start growing and you start making more money, you can create an office, you can have more people under you and this earnings is for life as long as the tree, the channel, the network keeps growing, so the opportunity is there for Nigerians and any other persons living in Nigeria.”

For Commander Mitchell Ofoyeju, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Tincan Island Port Strategic Command, Lagos, expressing his impression of the QNET’s Expo, he said “Fantastic, this is very encouraging, what I have seen here is quite amazing, the product line is widespread, they have health products, they have cosmetics, they also have luxury watches, jewelry, so the base is quite strong, and it is also people centric. What I can say here is they have very great potential particularly in Nigeria with over 200million population, the market is here, and since the products can add value to health, I think it is something the people should embrace, and like I said the potential is quite high, the products line is amazing, and on health, so it is very much encouraging. Personally I am impressed with the entire concept.”

Speaking about QNET’s capacity building and employment in Nigeria looking at the crowd at the Expo made up essentially thousands of youths, he said, “Absolutely this is something our stakeholders should jump at, because as I said, it has the capacity to generate wealth and the products are good, and like they said, they are also registered, so it is a great opportunity for people to expand their income chain and with the tendency to increase productivity and wealth creation. I think it is something that will also help youths to stay away from illicit drugs and crime. When the young minds are engaged, there is a tendency for them not to go into crime and other vices.”

He appealed to various stakeholders to welcome what QNET is doing to engage the youths meaningfully and practically, helping them to go and diversify their sources of income and also build network across various regions of the country. “It is something I recommend to young Nigerians.”
