Anambra House Under My Watch Has Passed 40 Laws, 200 Resolution —-Anambra Speaker, Udeze

The Speaker, Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Nkemakonam Udeze, has said that the House of Assembly under his leadership, has enacted over 40 laws and more than 200 resolutions aimed at improving the living standards of Ndi Anambra and the overall development of the state.

The Speaker who spoke at his special Thanksgiving at the Cathedral Church of St. James the Great, Atani, Ogbaru Local Government Area, applauded members of the House for their support to his leadership that led to the success he recorded.

The Speaker while urging the State government to construct roads for Ogwuikpela and Ogwuaniocha respectively, reassured continued collaboration with the House to achieve total development and growth in the state.

Governor Soludo in his remarks enumerated some achievements of his administration while pledging to carry out infrastructure upgrade in Ogbaru Local Government Area by next year.

Udezr said he deemed it necessary to thank God for His grace and mercy towards him and his family.

Udeze , The Authority Newspaper reports is the son of an Anglican priest, a native of Atani in Ogbaru Local Government Area, was born in 1972 to the family of the late Rev. Patrick and the late Mrs. Clara Udeze, both of blessed memory. He is married to Lady Chinyere, and God has blessed them with children.

He attended the famous Denis Memorial Grammar School, Onitsha (DMGS), and Aguata High School, Ekwulobia, for his West African School Certificate. He holds the following academic qualifications: HND in Crop Production Technology, PGD in Management, and MBA in Business Administration, all from the University of Calabar. A lover of education, Rt. Hon. Udeze attended the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Igbariam, where he earned a PGD and M.Sc in Agric-Economics and Extension, and later crowned his academic pursuit with a Ph.D in the same field, also from the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University.

He was a member of the 6th and 7th Anambra State House of Assembly, representing Ogbaru Two Constituency. As a tested and trusted representative, his constituents, in recognition of his numerous achievements, re-elected him for a third term into the 8th State Assembly, where he currently serves as the Speaker.

His achievements, both as the member representing Ogbaru Two Constituency and as Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, are too numerous to enumerate. He has facilitated employment for many Ogbaru indigenes and attracted various government projects, including roads, rehabilitation of schools, hospitals, and a lot more.

He is personally building a multi-million Naira Agricultural Processing Plant in Atani, which is expected to serve the entire people of Ogbaru Local Government Area when completed.

He is a Knight of Saint Christopher (KSC), appreciated the Bishop of Aguata Diocese, Right Reverend Samuel Ezeofor who preached at the Thanksgiving Service, and the host Bishop of Ogbaru Diocese, Right Reverend Prosper Amah for their spiritual guides and prayers.
