….. Urges President Tinubu to release Nnamdi Kanu

The Youth wing of Ohanaeze Ndigbo worldwide has said that it is not supporting the purported 2027 presidential aspiration of Alhaji Atiku Abubaka, describing it as dead on arrival.
The National Publicity Secretary of the Youth wing, Mazi Chika Art Adiele , who gave this hint in a chat with The Authority Newspaper online, stressed that the Igbo Youths will meet, discuss and agree holistically on the best aspirant with experience, character and dignity to stir the leadership of Nigeria out it’s present economic woes.
He revealed that the Youth wing of Ohanaeze Ndigbo worldwide led by Chukwuemeka Okpalaezeukwu in acting capacity are in total support of the emergence of Senator John Mbata as the new President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo worldwide.
“The choice of Senator John Mbata is a premium choice. He has come to stir a new horizon and we are assuring him of our maximum support”.
Mazi Adiele expressed gratitude to the Rivers state governor Joseph Fubara for his support to the emergence of Senator John Mbata as President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo worldwide. He assured him of the maximum support of Igbo Youths to his administration.
Answering questions on what should constitute the agenda of the Senator Mbata led executive of Ohanaeze Ndigbo worldwide, Mazi Adiele tasked him to work along with the Youth wing in proffering the various socio economic problems confronting the Igbo most especially, reducing the tide of insecurity in the South East zone.
Towards this direction, Mazi Adiele said that Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth wing expects Senator Mbata led Ohanaeze Ndigbo executive to implore every diplomacy in securing the release of Mazi Nnamdi Many from detention.
His words,”One of the greatest task before Senator Mbata led Ohanaeze Ndigbo leadership is to secure the release of Mazi Nnamdi Many FROM detention. We believe when he is released, the rate of insecurity in the South East zone will reduce.
“There will be no peace if Mazi Nnamdi is still incarcerated. We are appealing to President Bola Tinubu to effect the release of Mazi Nnamdi Many from prison. Doing so will add to his credibility and acceptance as a true democrat. Ndigbo will see him as a true leader and a father”, Adiele stated.
Reacting on allegation of existence of another faction of Ohanaeze Youth wing, Mazi Adiele said there is no other faction.
His words, “Outside the parent body, the Women Wing of Ohanaeze Ndigbo worldwide led by Chief Mrs Rita Daniels and the Youth wing led by Mr Chukwuemeka Okpalaezeukwu,under acting capacity exists.
“There is nothing like Ohanaeze Youth Council in our constitution. Many times,we have reprimanded the perpetrators of the illegal wing before law enforcement agencies and they accepted to drop it and operate with some other name,” Adiele explained.
