Breaking: ULEPSA commends Uba Sani for Cleaning Up El-Rufai’s Mess in Kaduna

The Uba Sani Legacy Projects Solidarity Assembly (ULEPSA) has lauded Governor Uba Sani for his bold and decisive leadership in cleaning up what it described as the “toxic mess” left behind by his predecessor, Nasir El-Rufai.

In a strongly worded statement signed by its Director of Research and Documentation, Barrister Moses Magaji Zango and released on Monday, ULEPSA hailed Governor Sani’s proactive steps in steering Kaduna away from the brink of financial and infrastructural collapse.

According to ULEPSA, Governor Uba Sani inherited a state grappling with suffocating debts, abandoned projects, and socio-political discontent.

“What El-Rufai left behind was not just a fiscal time bomb but a landscape riddled with unfulfilled promises and half-baked projects that drained Kaduna’s resources without tangible benefits for its people,” the statement read.

Under Governor Sani’s leadership, Kaduna is witnessing a resurgence of accountability and development, according to the group. ULEPSA praised the governor’s aggressive efforts in restructuring the state’s debt portfolio, reviving neglected health facilities, completing stalled infrastructure projects, and restoring public trust in governance.

“While the previous administration was notorious for bulldozing its way through communities with policies detached from the realities of ordinary citizens, Governor Uba Sani has shown that leadership is about empathy, strategic planning, and people-centered development,” ULEPSA declared.

Highlighting projects like the remodeling of nine abandoned hospitals, the revival of the Birnin Gwari Road, and the launch of youth empowerment programmes, ULEPSA emphasized that Kaduna is finally on the path to genuine progress.

The group noted that Governor Uba Sani has already broke records with the approval of N33billion to finish Elrufai’s abandoned projects.

The group called on citizens to rally behind Governor Sani, describing him as “the true architect of Kaduna’s recovery,” whose commitment to transparency, social justice, and infrastructural transformation stands as a stark contrast to the elitist governance style of the past.
