The Federal Capital Territory Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board said it has started preparation for a hitch free 2025 Easter Pilgrimage.
Director of the board, Gloria Dandam gave the assurance during an annual thanksgiving in the first quarter of the year held at the Secretariat.
She said more steps will be taken to sustain the safe and peaceful spiritual exercise in the Holy land by the FCT intending pilgrims.
Dandam explained that the board has concluded all the necessary preparations to ensure peaceful, successful and spiritual transformative journey for the 2025 Easter Pilgrimage scheduled to commence on March 31, 2025.
According to her, “This significant event marks an important spiritual journey for many Christians, especially in the Federal Capital Territory, and effective measures have been put in place towards ensuring successful and peaceful journey to the Holy Land.”
Dandam pledged the commitment of the board to providing an enabling environment for a transformative experience for all the FCT contingent by ensuring that their spiritual needs are met while prioritizing safety and well-being.
The director reiterated that this year’s thanksgiving programme is a significant strive as it all coincided with the safe return of pilgrims from the combined 2023/2024 Easter and Main Pilgrimage, which took place from January 2nd to January 12th, 2025.
Dandam expressed deep gratitude to God for His faithfulness and for the mercy that allowed all Pilgrims to return home safe.
The Director said that this exceptional result was achieved due to dent of hard-work, effective planning and execution of the spiritual trip without a single record of abscond.
