The Forum of Serving and Former Vice Chairmen of Local Government Areas (LGAs) in Kano State has paid a solidarity visit to Alhaji AA Zaura, the President of AA Zaura Foundation International and the All Progressives Congress (APC) Kano Central Senatorial Candidate in the 2023 general elections.
The delegation, comprising representatives from LGAs across Kano State, expressed their deep appreciation for Alhaji Zaura’s exemplary leadership and his unwavering commitment to the development of Kano and Nigeria. They described him as a compassionate and patriotic leader, acknowledging his sacrifices for the welfare of others and his significant contributions to national progress.
During the visit, the delegation presented Alhaji Zaura with a Leadership Excellence Award in recognition of his service. They also pledged their full support for him in any political role he may pursue in the 2027 elections. The occasion coincided with the beginning of Ramadan, providing a special moment for Alhaji Zaura to lead prayers with the delegation. He expressed gratitude to Allah for another Ramadan, praying for peace, prosperity, and good health for Nigeria throughout the holy month and beyond.
Reflecting on the significance of the visit during Ramadan, Alhaji Zaura emphasized the spiritual bond between leadership and faith. He noted that the collective prayers symbolized a shared commitment to unity, perseverance, and hope—values that are central to Ramadan. His message underscored the importance of seeking divine guidance for Kano State and Nigeria’s development, while also reinforcing the role of faith in leadership.
The delegation’s support for Alhaji Zaura carried strong political significance. The presence of over 60 serving and former local government leaders from all 44 LGAs in Kano highlighted a widespread endorsement of his leadership. Their collective backing underscored his growing political influence and the confidence in his ability to drive positive change in Kano’s political landscape.
By framing his leadership within the values of Ramadan, Alhaji Zaura urged the people of Kano and Nigerians at large to remain steadfast, hopeful, and dedicated to overcoming challenges.
