NESREA to upscale import clearance regime of agency

The National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency, (NESREA) has announced measures to upscale the import clearance regime of the agency with an eye towards full integration with the National Single Window Project.

This was disclosed in a press release by Assistant Director, Press, NESREA, Amaka Ejiofor
Assistant Director (Press).

She said the Director General of the Agency, Dr. Innocent Barikor disclosed this when he received the Project Manager of the National Single Window Project, Dr. Tola Fakolade and his team at the headquarters of NESREA in Abuja.

“He said the Agency has aggressively scaled up its system to a dynamic model that would enhance the productivity of the Agency as well as interface with other relevant systems such as the National Single Window Project and the B’ Odogwu platform of the Nigerian Customs Service.

“The NESREA DG commended the efforts by Dr. Fakolade and his team towards promoting unified platform for trade facilitation, while restating NESREA’s support for the process.

“Dr. Fakolade said the visit was part of engagement towards the onboarding of the Agency into the Single Windows Platform.”
