Senate President Godswill Akpabio has praised Senator Basheer Lado for his outstanding performance as Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Senate matters. Akpabio noted that during Lado’s eight-month tenure, there have been no leakages in presidential communications to the Senate.
Akpabio commended Lado for upholding the tenets of good governance and separation of powers. He also acknowledged Lado’s role in transforming the office and making synergy between the executive and legislature more robust.
Senator Lado, in his welcome speech, thanked Akpabio for his support for President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. He described Akpabio as a statesman who understands the importance of cooperation and unity in governance.
Akpabio also expressed confidence that with Lado, Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, and National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Abdullahi Ganduje, Kano State is already secured for the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections.
