Tsafe residents hail Matawalle as military takes down notorious bandit leader

Residents of Tsafe in Zamfara State have praised the Minister of State for Defence, Dr. Bello Matawalle, for his role in the military operation that led to the elimination of the notorious bandit leader, Dan Isuhu.

The development has been widely celebrated as a crucial victory in the ongoing battle against insecurity in the region.

In a statement signed by its chairman, Engr. Muhammad Hussaini, the community credited Dr. Matawalle’s strategic approach for strengthening military offensives against criminal groups, including the feared bandit leader, Bello Turji.

Dan Isuhu had long been responsible for a series of kidnappings, killings, and other violent crimes that plagued communities in Tsafe, Funtua, and Gusau.

He said, “His death is considered a major breakthrough in the fight against insecurity in Zamfara.
“Dr. Matawalle has been instrumental in driving intensified military operations in the state, ensuring the dismantling of criminal networks and the liberation of affected communities from the grip of banditry.”

With the elimination of Dan Isuhu, residents remain hopeful that Bello Turji, the region’s most wanted terrorist, will soon be apprehended. As military operations persist, there is growing optimism that Zamfara may finally see an end to years of violent attacks.
