Breaking: Massive Turnout at Uba Sani, Jobberman, Mastercard 2025 Youth Career Fair

In a swift move to tackle unemployment and position Kaduna as Nigeria’s premier hub for skills development, the Kaduna State Government, in collaboration with Jobberman and the Mastercard Foundation, hosted the second edition of the Kaduna Career Fair 2025—a major leap in Governor Uba Sani’s human capital agenda.

Held at the prestigious Umaru Musa Yar’adua Hall, the event attracted over 1,000 eager job seekers and more than 100 employers, each with a minimum of two vacancies ready to be filled immediately or in the near future.

Addressing the packed venue, the Commissioner for Business Innovation and Technology, Hon. Patience Fakai, lauded Governor Uba Sani’s relentless push to make Kaduna the “Skills Hub of the Nation.” She captured the Governor’s flagship projects—three world-class Vocational and Technology Skills Acquisition Cities under construction across the state’s senatorial zones—as revolutionary interventions in the state’s human capital drive.

“These projects,” Fakai said, “are carefully designed to enhance productivity, generate wealth, reduce poverty, and set Kaduna on a path of sustainable socio-economic growth.”

The impact of the Kaduna Career Fair is already being felt. Since the inaugural edition on November 23, 2023, over 1,496 unemployed youths and 71 employers have participated, with 300+ job placements already secured. From the 2025 edition alone, five successful job matches were recorded on day one, with many more expected in the days ahead.

Kaduna’s partnership with Jobberman and the Mastercard Foundation signals more than just job placements—it is a lifeline of hope, a factory of opportunity, and a solid foundation for a future-ready workforce.
