National President of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria, Hon Bello Lawal has prayed for joy and peace for Nigerians as Christians celebrate this year’s Easter.
In his message, Hon Lawal said: “As we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, I extend warm Easter greetings to our Christian brothers and sisters across Nigeria. May this sacred occasion bring joy, peace, and hope to all.
“As a nation, we are diverse in faith, but united in our pursuit of peace, progress, and prosperity. I recognize the significance of Easter to Christians and acknowledge the values of love, kindness, and compassion that it embodies.
“Let us use this opportunity to promote interfaith understanding, tolerance, and cooperation in our various Communities,” he said.
The ALGON leader went further to say: “May our collective efforts foster a society where people of all faiths can live in harmony, with mutual respect, and peace.
” I wish to assure our Christian citizens that we stand in solidarity with them during this festive period. May their celebrations be filled with love, laughter, and warmth.
“To all Nigerians, I urge you to embrace the spirit of Easter, which emphasizes forgiveness, kindness, and service to humanity. Let us strive to build a nation where everyone can thrive and reach their full potential.
“May this Easter season bring Renewed Hope and joy to all. May God bless Nigeria and guide us towards a brighter future,” he concluded.
